New Ymca To Open In Playa Del Carmen Real Estate Region

The exciting proposal came from Debbi Ford, the director of the YMCA in Glendale, Colorado Playa del Carmen' sister city as part of an exchange of programs between the two cities.



During Debbi Ford's visit to the city, the staff presented the project for the new YMCA facility in Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen has ample resources both in terms of human and sports facilities for facilitating the setting up of the esteemed organization.



The tour included a visit to the Riviera Maya Sports Center, a location currently been considered by the YMCA board of Glendale, Colorado. Founded in 1844, London, England, YMCA is the oldest voluntary organization in the world. Its mission is to serve individuals, families and communities, ensuring their physical, intellectual and spiritual development. It boasts of than 45 million members in over 120 countries all over the world. In Mexico there are YMCA organizations in 10 cities, with sports centers, special education centers, centers for children and migrant children. If the proposal is passed then Playa del Carmen will join the lists of select cities in Mexico which will have a center of this great organization.



The development reflects the fact the city is growing on many levels. Starting from a beach city with a laid back atmosphere, it has transformed itself in to a city with famed manana attitude but more urban feel.
