New Features Of Htc Eternity Keep It Popular Among Customers

After the announcements of both the HTC Evo 3D and the HTC Sensation, HTC seems to be shifting its attention back towards the Windows phone segment. A few months ago, HTC was launching a number of phones running on the Windows operating system, but the focus seemed to return to the Android phones. However, with the likes of Nokia and Samsung revealing extensive plans to work on the Windows phones, HTC is looking to press its advantage by launching the HTC Eternity. This phone, when announced officially, could easily become the holder of the largest screen ever used in the mobile phone industry.

According to the rumours, the HTC Eternity comes with a massive 4.7 inch touch screen display, which will easily dwarf the 4.3 inch unit present in the HTC Sensation and the HTC Evo 3D. The HTC Eternity, however, will offer the same 480 x 800 pixel resolution, and it remains to be seen if this will work in this extremely large screen as well. The HTC Eternity will provide the SC-LCD technology present in the HTC Sensation, which is a slight disappointment considering the technological marvel that is the Super AMOLED Plus display that is being used in the Samsung phones. However, one will find that there will be no reason to complain about the quality of the display at all.

The HTC Eternity will provide most of the high-end features that have already made its appearance in other high-end phones. However, not many will be likely challengers to the 16 GB internal memory provided by the phone. This goes a long way into offsetting the disadvantage provided by the lack of the external memory card support. The usage of the Dolby Mobile and the SRS surround sound enhancement technologies remain. The biggest improvement in the HTC Eternity, over the other Windows phones that are currently available, is the processor.

It comes with a humongous 1.5 GHz processor that is quite capable of challenging even the dual core units. It will easily run the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Mango employed in the phone. This is the latest version of the popular Windows Phone 7 OS. The phone also has the QUALCOMM chipset, which has become synonymous with the high-end mobile phone industry mainly due to its reliability and processing speed. Other features with regard to the utilities remains the same, but the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Mango could add some more features in the near future. The HTC Eternity uses the same eight-megapixel camera seen in the other phones of the Taiwanese giant. However, slight modifications bring improved quality to the pictures, which will also bring it closer to the rivals like the Nokia N8. There is also a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera.

Power comes from the 1650 mAh battery, which is one of the best that is around today. Only the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and the Motorola Atrix will be able to challenge the HTC Eternity in terms of battery power.
