Many people enter the network marketing industry without being fully knowledgeable about the workings of the industry. Eager to venture onto the playing field, they rush out of the locker rooms without putting on their full gear and receiving the required training to participate in the game. From there, they participate in several matches, only to realize that the strategies that theyve been implementing has attributed to their low performance on the field.

The aforementioned scenario is what I call in network marketing the 90-day success trail. Throngs of network marketers sign up with their respective network marketing companies fired up, pumped up, and with no thoughts of giving up. Then, after 90 days, a few sales, and a couple of sign ups theyre ready to throw in the towel. You see what 97% of network marketers fail to realize is that success isnt microwaved, but rather created over a period of time through consistent and productive efforts. Thinking that you can pop into the industry and immediately become one of the top recruiters of your company without putting in the required effort is setting yourself up for failure before you even get started.

So how can you become a successful network marketer? Here are 3 tips that will allow you to dominate the network marketing industry:

1. Know your target market-As previously mentioned, many network marketers enter the industry without being fully equipped for the journey. They utilize all the strategies imparted to them by their upline, without ever realizing that the key ingredient to their success is not in reaching out to everyone they know, but in becoming a solution provider to those they know, as well as to those who may require their products and services. Who can these people be? These people are your family, friends and other people who are searching for an opportunity to fire their boss, gain financial freedom, spend more time with their loved ones and give back to the community; former network marketers who are looking to rekindle their network marketing spirit; and current network marketers who are armed with the same drive to succeed in the industry.

2. Market yourself-By marketing your company replicated website, you are simply piquing your potential customer or team members interest in the products, services or business opportunity. The first thing that person would do is go to Google and search for your company. Then a list of results, some of which would include other people in your company, would appear. These people may be the top leaders in your company. What do you think will happen? Yes they would gravitate toward them because they have mastered the concept of marketing yourself, hence they are able to attract more team members and sell their products and services in abundance. Remember people do not buy websites, they buy people. What are you going to do to stand out of the crowd of peddlers? You have been blessed with unique talents and abilities. Use them to market yourself.

3. Become a student of your industry-Invest in tools and resources for your personal development. Without personal development you can bid your success in the industry goodbye. Instead of tuning into the automatic income reducer, also known as the television, you should be listening to audio books to enhance your knowledge of the industry as well as to rid yourself of the self-defeating thoughts that you have during your first few months in the industry.
