Neon Lighting Lasts Longer And Provide Constant Light

By:

It is a common misunderstanding that all Neon lights are made of Neon. Though Neon was discovered in 1898, other gases belonging to the group of inert gases such as Krypton, Argon and Xenon soon followed. However, Neon lights were already a craze among advertisers. Therefore, the name stuck for all lighting that used this technique irrespective of the gas being used. Each gas produces a characteristic color e.g., Argon produces blue, Krypton and Xenon produces light and dark shades of purple. Therefore, individual colors or a combination of colors are used to generate the desired effect. Bright neon signage units can come in a wide variety of styles. For use as a decorating tool at home, you can browse through and look for wonderful designs. You can have logos of famous basketball, baseball or football teams in neon signage and put them in the walls of your den, man cave or garage. You can also pick out food and beverage designs which you can put to add glam in your kitchen or dining room walls. Even your roofed patio can be given a club feel with these dazzling signs. You are about to open your coffee shop business. But since you are not the only one who owns a business like that in your place, you better think of something that would help your business outshine from the rest. You have to put a sign that would effectively draw the customers' attention towards your newly built business. That way, people would know that there is a new coffee shop in that area. Though this kind of business is not new to people, they would still be curious of how your product would taste from the other coffee in the area. You can also customize the neon sign for your coffee shop. Custom sign boards for your coffee shop can be made even more attractive with some flashing options and your creative ideas how you want the sign to appear. Just make sure the sign is clearly visible and easy to read. You can use letters or graphics for your sign. Otherwise combine the letters and graphics for added eye-catching factor. The forerunner of the modern-day neon bar signs that George Claude made were first introduced to the public in 1910 during the Paris Exposition. The first major company that saw the potential of this innovation was the Packard Motor Company who signed up for more than a thousand dollars' worth of these bright new signs. What started as a simple way to study electrical glow discharge has grown into an important part of our business community. So the next time you pass by a business with that familiar glow in the window, keep in mind that you are staring at something that has long been part of man's history.
