Negative Thoughts Or Positive Thoughts - Which Option Will You Choose?

Negative thoughts and emotions are one of the things that all of my new clients suffer with, it is a common problem and it is a hard habit to break if you don't know how. But it can be done.

I read a great article the other day that was entitled 'where do you put your attention?' The point of the article was that wherever we put or attention we can choose to find good OR bad, ie if we look around us at the beauty of life and have a positive attitude we will see things positively and if we look for the odd pothole in an otherwise perfectly beautiful surrounding - we will be sure to find it.

How true! Even the wealthiest, healthiest and most attractive people can find negatives in their lives if they take the time to look.
This is the Law of Attraction in all it's glory, if we look for the bad we will find it and we will attract more and more bad everyday. If we have a positive outlook, we can raise our vibration so that our whole being is attuned to a positive outcome in life, and once this happens we manifest more and more good things into our lives.

That's not to say that bad stuff will never happen to you again, of course it will. Life throws many challenges at us, good and bad but if we have are in a positive mental state and our energy vibration is a happy one, it is so much easier to deal with the bad things or even to learn to ignore or overcome them.

After all, what is one pothole in the bigger scheme of things?

Many years ago one of my friends lost her job and at the time she had just taken on quite a large mortgage. She lived on her own and didn't have anyone that could support her financially, so this was a really big deal to her. It must have been a very worrying time; how would she afford to pay for her home?

She had been working for the same company for many years and couldn't imagine starting again at a new company. But instead of seeing the downside of this difficult challenge, she embraced it - she used some of the redundancy pay to fund her training and became a qualified bookkeeper. She now has her own successful business. She absolutely loves what she does and as she has a few different clients each week, it means that she gets to spend time in a different working environment everyday. She has never looked back.

We all have a choice everyday, we can take something not so great and turn it into a wonderful opportunity for us, like my friend did, or we can let ourselves become overwhelmed with all of the negative aspects and the situation could end up becoming much worse - what would have happened to my friend if she didn't grasp the opportunity in front of her? She would surely have lost her home, but it could have been a downward spiral from there.
