Need A Few Paint Ball Practice Suggestions?

A Game Plan for Teams of Three

The strategies you employ in your paintball game will often depend on how many people are on each paintball team. Many games involve three players on each time. The strategies used in three-on-three games are not too difficult to implement, and also work well with bigger teams. One basic strategy is to assign one team member the role of attacker. It is pretty self-explanatory what the mission of the attacker is: to destroy the other team. The other players take more of a defensive role. It is not unlike a basketball game where you have guards, centers, and forwards.

Preparing for War or Just Having Fun?

Some people have negative connotations towards paintball because they think it encourages violence. Undeniably, paintball is meant in some ways to simulate war. However, the goal of paintball is not to destroy people; it is actually a great teambuilding experience. The benefits of any sport apply to paintball; namely, physical exercise, teamwork, practice, developing strategies, and working towards a goal. In the end, paintball is not about trying to shoot other people. It is a sport designed to increase many abilities that are both mentally and physically beneficial to the player.

Forming a Paintball Team

The disadvantage of team sports is that it is hard to play without a sufficient number of people. In order to play a great paintball game, you should at least have four people for a last-survivor-wins game or six people for a team game. One way to make sure you have enough people to play is to plan the game early. Try to alert people to the game a week or two ahead of time, and then call as a reminder a few days before the game. Making sure you have enough players makes this process absolutely worth the effort. Once you and several other players have been able to make games on a consistent basis, you can start designating a couple times to meet every month.

The Fears of Paintball

Many people shy away from trying paintball because they are worried about getting hurt. Realistically, it is a game of shooting at each other, and it definitely is possible to get an occasional bruise. The closer players are to each other, the more likely it is that the shots they take will cause some bruising. Most paintball shots taken over long-distance or in a paintball game hardly cause any pain or bruises. Also, if you are wearing appropriate protective gear, paintball shots should have little effect on you other than to splatter you with paint. So if you have put off playing paintball because of the fear of pain, simply dress well for the occasion and go out and enjoy yourself.
