Natural Fibroid Treatment

Natural Fibroid Treatment Or Surgery?

Given the choice, most women would vastly prefer a natural fibroid treatment rather than resorting to painful surgery which can be fraught with complications.

In general, there are only two treatment options for fibroids which are offered by doctors. The first is to "live" with the fibroids and the second is surgery.

The type of surgery you will be offered by your doctor will normally depend on the type of fibroids which you have, the severity of the condition, your age and whether or not you would like to have children. Unless your doctor practices alternative treatments, it is very unlikely that you will be offered a natural fibroid treatment even though these have been proven to have a high success rate.

It is thought that most women have fibroids to a varying extent and that problems will be present in around 30%. Most will live with the symptoms of fibroids until the menopause, when the worst of the symptoms begin to subside.

Symptoms OF Fibroids

Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

In a woman with fibroids the bleeding might last for a week or more and be particularly heavy. This can lead to anaemia and if a woman thinks she may be anaemic she should visit her doctor for a diagnosis and take iron tablets if recommended. In addition, there is the inconvenience of having to change pads and tampons so regularly that many women might miss days from work. It is not known exactly why a woman with fibroids should experience heavy bleeding. Many doctors think it is a misconception that the bleeding comes from the fibroids themselves with many claiming that the fibroids stretch the womb lining, creating a greater area from which bleeding occurs each month.

Pressure In The Pelvis

When fibroids grow, they can cause discomfort in the pelvic area. Occasionally, large fibroids are palpable and can give the appearance of a pregnancy. Sometimes individua fibroids can grow as large as melons. The pressure in the pelvis can bring its own problems, causing-

* Frequent urination

* Constipation

* Bloating

* Pain during intercourse

* Abdominal pain and back ache

For many women the symptoms are too much to bear and they need relief from this condition. As it is rarely life-threatening, many doctors are reluctant to agree to surgery because of the potential for complications such as bleeding, infections, anesthetic risks and the potential for damage to other organs.

Many women are simply unaware that there is a natural fibroid treatment which is extremely effective in either drastically reducing the size of fibroids to a level where they are either completely unnoticeable or getting rid of them altogether. Unsurprisingly, women who were surveyed about the type of treatments they would prefer for their condition to be treated with a natural fibroid treatment rather than surgery.
