The town of Narendra Nagar was initiated in 1919 by Maharaja Narendra Shah of the Teri Gharwal district in India. Previously, this little village was known as Odathali. The Maharaja wanted to move his capital from the town of Teri to a more picturesque location, resulting in the little village of Odathali being chosen for its extraordinary beauty and easy access to the regions below the towns foothills.
