NCLEX- What You Must Know To Pass The Test

Plan for your NCLEX exam the moment you decide to take classes in nursing. Plan your schedule, buy the books and listen to the NCLEX Test prep audios.

1). Study! If possible, bring a digital recorder to class. After class listen to the recorded seminar. Read class notes you have taken.. Read the assigned text. Do the homework.Prepare for your first exam. This must be done on a consistent basis.

2). Prepare! Prepare for the NCLEXexams well in advance so you will have time to see and areas of weakness. Don't try to learn all the information the night before the exam. There is a tremendous amount of material on the test and it is not likely that you can learn it all at once.

3). Make a guide! Develop your own study guide. Write the themes, questions, answers, formulas and information in a book or on the computer. This should be a reference guide for quick and frequent review. It will make it easier effective to retain this information and recall the study material when it comes time to take the test.

4). Budget your time! If you listen to the NCLEX prep audios , you will be able to comprehend the information faster when you are reading, as the you will recognize the content. This will and save you time while you are studying. It will also leave you more time to focus on the areas that need attention.

5). Attend! Go to each class, especially when there is an exam review. Many instructors are intimately familiar with the test. They will teach you what to anticipate. Professors will often tell you the content and the layout of the test, as well as some particular questions which , may (Will!) see on the exam. Instructors often teach to the test.

6). Ask! Request that the professor to identify content that will be emphasized on the exam.

7). Review! Read over any content from practice tests, assignments, sample questions, review material, the book, class notes and of course your audio study materials.

8). Sleep! Get plenty of sleep the night prior to the test. Statistics show that students that get enough sleep score higher test results than those that cram.

9). Eat! consume a healthy breakfast. Don't make it too heavy or you are likely to feel tired bring a snack for the break. The exam is 6 hours long for NCLEX RN and 5 hours for NCLEX PN.

10). Arrive Early! Show up early for the test. It is interesting how many teachers will provide students with last minute tips. It is also an opportunity to get a question answered by another student. Certainly, this will not happen for the NCLEX test itself, but for tests leading up to it.

11).Go to the bathroom! Go to the bathroom before beginning the exam. This may appear obvious, but numerous students don't think about this. You don't want to lose focus.

12). Where a watch! There is plenty of time to take the NCLEX Exam Very few students run out of time. Wear a watch and pace yourself.

13).Be positive! Keep a positive attitude. You are ready for the test. Now it is time to go in there with confidence and relax. You know the content now you are prepared to prove it.

14). Mark the questions you don't know! If you are not sure of an answer, mark it for review and then return to it. There are often other questions that remind you of previously asked questions.

You just passed the NCLEX exam!
