My Grandmother Encouraged Me To Become An Mt

My grandmother is 88 years old and in the 34 years that I have known her she has always encouraged me to become a medical transcriptionist. She was able to help my grandfather support their six children because of her rewarding lifelong career as a medical transcriptionist. This is the first reason that I want to pursue this as a goal of mine. Also, the MT career position would allow me to have a career that would not suffer hard in these harsh economical times. The medical field will always need good people. I have always wanted to work in this field but have a very squeamish stomach so I knew I would not be able to do the hands on things that medical assistants or nurses can do. I am very computer literate and self-disciplined; two things that I feel would make me a great asset to a company looking for great MT's.

I had our third baby six weeks ago and I am finally ready to buckle down and start helping my husband support our wonderful family. Home typist jobs would still allow me to take and pick my children up from school and be here for them if they ever get sick or during their breaks. My parents always worked outside of the house and as a child I always wanted them to be there when I had to stay at home alone after school or during the summer. I am looking forward to training with FutureMT because of the personal testimonials from your graduates. I think you all are more advanced than other schools that I have reviewed for this course. I look forward to working closely with the graduates who have taken this course before me. I am sure they are full of the knowledge that I too hope to have for future MT's that I can one day help. I hope to graduate from this course in 6 to 12 months and get started right away working from home. I have a cousin-in-law who has been doing this for six years and will be a great help to me when finished. Once I have a great understanding and maybe about five years experience we would love to start our own medical coding and billing business in the tri-county area in which we live in. I have the ambition and stamina to pursue this goal because of my faith and support from my family. I cannot wait to report back to FutureMT on how well I am doing as medical transcriptionist and encourage anyone who wants to take on this rewarding career.
