Museum Tourist Guide To The Northern City of Leeds

One of the city's finest delights is Kirkstall Abbey, which is a historic abbey located in the outskirts of the city. It is widely regarded as one of england's most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey. building on the abbey began in 1152 & it took over seventy-five years to finish. The historic abbey is now a Grade 1 listed structure.

In addition to Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds has plenty more stuff to do, containing the historic Kirkgate Market.

Leeds has a fantastic shopping centre, which has a store to suit any funds. in fact, you'll find high end stores in the city's Victoria Quarter, comprising of branches of harvey nicks, Flannels and other designer outlets.

In the headrow centre, you'll find more cost-effective high-street outlets such as primark, top shop and boots.

These fabulous gardens were built at a cost of £12 m to mark the year 2000. The beautiful gardens were awarded a medal at the chelsea flower show in 2004.
