A new title comes out for the Sony PlayStation Portable ? Monster Hunter Freedom. If you\'re the type of gamer who\'s looking for butt-kicking and lots of monster hunting action, then you\'ve come to the right place. Monster Hunter Freedom is an RPG oozing with gore and violence, in a way that\'s pleasantly fun. Obviously, you will be playing the character of a monster hunter. The entire fantasy world of the game is set in world filled with ancient peasants. But this spooky atmosphere is what an aspiring adventurer like you is looking for, right?

Before you begin your adventure in Monster Hunter Freedom, you get the chance to personalize your monster hunter character by choosing among the various avatars readily available in the game. Then, you decide on the certain features that you will use to give your character the personalized look you desire for it to have.

Then, as an RPG, you will take your character around the village and scoping out the scene of this small village. Please bear in mind that this is a not so vast town, so looking around should be pretty manageable. And while you\'re at it, go through some of the shops and you should discover a few missions to venture in and finish.

Once you\'re done checking out the shops, you will then proceed to the guild where you\'ll find the greatest action this game can offer you. You\'ll also find waiting there are the village elders and wenches. There will also be mysterious tutorial missions given to you by the elders, but don\'t be misled. What seems to be tutorial missions can be, and are in fact, real missions!

For your first few missions, you will find that they can be surprisingly very easy. But don\'t readily discard this as the barometer to the game\'s overall level of challenge and missions. In fact, you can use these boring missions to acquire new skills that might be of use later on in the game.

Your first chance at facing up to a real challenge comes in the form of an outraged enemy! But first, you have to be proficient in your fishing skills. As there is strange-looking warthog type monster lurking in the area that you will have to defeat. Talk about action!

It can be absolutely difficult keeping track of the monsters and making sure that they stay within your sight, mostly because of the camera angle. It can also be annoying trying to take on all these evil monsters with the controls. To help you get over a potentially tricky situation, you might want to use some speed over your opponents.

To begin with, you\'d have access to four kinds of weapons: a crossbow, a sword, a hammer and a lance. Eventually, as you move up higher through your missions, you\'ll be able to use better weapons and your combat skills will also have been improved greatly.

Without needing to mention the game controls and camera for this game, Monster Hunter Freedom on the PSP promises to be one hell of a great game for those looking for combat unlike they\'ve seen before!
