What are some things we know about the internet? Well, first, it is here to stay and continues to grow. Second, it is always open, 24/7/365. Plus, there are billions of people online every day searching for answers to their solutions. This means there are businesses looking to hire you for their services and customers looking to buy products from you. There are many ways to work from home online and make money. However, it is important to weed out the profitable options from those that will be more work than they are worth. It also depends on whether you looking for supplemental income versus a new full-time job. Let's look at some of the options you may find.


Typing or writing jobs. This is something anyone can do who has strong writing skills. However, these should be considered part-time options at they pay, only a few dollars per article. If you have to do research in addition to writing the article, your hourly rate could be less than minimum wage!


eBay stores. There is the option to purchase items wholesale for a minimal price, set up an online store and sell these items at a larger price. It is pretty easy to set up an automated system on eBay, however if you can't afford to find a distributor and sender, you'll be spending a lot of time packing and mailing items. Also, keep in mind that most items are purchased for cheap from Asia and the lack in quality often results in unsatisfied customers and returns-which means more hassle for you.


MLM or Network Marketing. These companies require an upfront purchase of products that you then market and sell to others. You can build residual income as your purchasers then promote the product to others and you make a commission. There is money to be made but few people make it. These product companies don't provide support and any training on how to best market this product, so unless you are an educated marketer, you end up just 'hard selling' to your friends and family (who soon get annoyed!).


Top Tier. These are companies that offer a high-priced product and a large commission. You can make less sales and more money. However, you have to be sure the product is legit and of value to others. Also, you need to believe in the product yourself otherwise you are just manipulating others and your potential customers will most likely not buy from you. This is the best option but choose a reputable company.
