Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is a sequel in the Call of Duty series that has seen players participate in the video game, whose story begun in Russia, where civil war broke out in the original installation. In part II, a terrorist attack in Russia includes the United States in combat as the US is mistakenly blamed for the attack, and Russia begins its US invasion.

Ghost Modern Warfare 3
Rumours have been going around concerning where the plot of the COD MW3 will lead. Earlier this year, the most popular buzz indicated that Ghost Modern Warfare 3 was in the making. The game was rumoured to be a prequel, featuring Ghost, a popular character from Modern Warfare 2. The non-player character impressed gamers with a tough image and a hard-to-forget skull-printed balaclava.

Release Date
Further, the same source of this particular rumour went ahead to indicate that that the earliest possible date for the release of the game would be in 2012, following the qualms between Infinity Ward and Activision. However, a Call of Duty game was not to be unexpected, with the founding of Activisions Sledgehammer Games studio.

Facts
However, it has now been established by Activision that there will indeed be a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 this year which will be released in the fall. The Modern Warfare 3 Release Date has been set for 8th November, quieting rumours indicating otherwise. Although legal proceedings followed the dismissal of Infinity Wards Jason West and Vince Zampella, the release of the game has not been stalled. Activision enlisted the services of Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to complete the development of the title where Infinity Ward left off.

Further, the plot of MW3 will not be a prequel of the character Ghost. Instead, the original storyline will be followed. Players will now be taken to locations all over the world, as Russia extends its invasions into Germany, England and France. Other locations, such as Somalia and Dubai, will also be features in Modern Warfare 3.
