MLM success strategy #1: Learn the Secret Language of Salespeople
Is there some sort of MLM success strategy that you can use when you call prospects that will make them want to join your business? My first became involved in network marketing I was convinced that there was some secret technique that once I learned it I would become a master recruiter. My thinking was that the people that were making oodles of money didn't seem to be that much different than myself. Yet when they spoke to prospects it seemed almost automatic the people join with them.
Every chance I got I would pull the leaders off an attempt to get them to share their magic formula with me. I wanted to know what exactly they said Word for Word so that I could repeat it back to my prospects and start getting the same results.

I bought books and audios and went to conferences trying to find the magic sauce that I seemed to lack. I was convinced that the people at the top were unwilling to share the real truth with me until I had paid my dues and to enter the Good Old Boys Club. I tried every sales tactic I could think of but nothing seemed to work for me. I had come to the conclusion that I was no good at selling people stuff. I know there are people out there that can make tons of money doing it, him I'm just not one of them.



MLM success strategy #2 Have a Great Flash Presentation
I was told that people are not duplicateable but systems are. So it occurred to me that the MLM success strategy that I needed the most, was a great flash video that would dazzle my prospects so much so, that they could not resist joining immediately. I immediately set out to find the killer video that would turn me into a recruiting machine. At one point I had four different flash presentations from four different recruiting systems. My thought was if one doesn't work use another. Sadly this strategy didn't work any better than my carefully drafted scripts.

MLM Success Strategy: My Discovery Blew Me Away
What I learned was that people often had problems and that if they had extra income they could solve their dilemmas. When you take on the role of a consultant your marketing efforts don't look like an assault. Nobody likes to be sold anything but everyone loves to buy. I discovered that if I made my focus to help people solve their problems they were more receptive to my products and opportunity. Of course my system had to be simple and having good tools helps but the most important thing I found was that people had to feel I was there to help them.

MLM success strategy: Across the kitchen table
One of my first mentors told me that I needed to speak to people as though I were talking to them across my kitchen table. I learned that I was not calling strangers, only friends that I hadn't met. People could hear the sincerity in my voice and my sign-ups dramatically increased. I learned that when I didn't talk at people like the typical telemarketer you receive a call from right around suppertime and began speaking to them like someone I'd known all my life they responded back the same way.

MLM Success Strategy Summary:
Reciting a script is not the same as having a conversation
people are looking for solutions not businesses
People buy on emotion and rationalize the purchase with logic
Having slick tools does not replace the human relationship critical to MLM
People want to do business with folks they know like and trust
Self-development is important
You can only help those people that have problem that actively want help
A key factor in your success is that you remain steadfast in your efforts to build your business. Most people quit before they learn the required lessons and before their business has had the needed time to mature. Sadly this failure seems to occur within the first 90 days so after reading this make it your goal to not quit no matter what for two years.

A second MLM Success Strategy is having an adequate lead source. If you are not talking to 10 to 20 people a day your business is going to stagnate.
