Cold Calling Prospects Can Be Extremely Intimidating When You First Start Marketing

What is your MLM success strategy once you get on the phone with a prospect for the first time? Would you ease into it with the prospects by connecting with them with casual conversation or would you plunge straight to your home business pitch? When i first began making phone calls to prospects I found myself being very stressed and out of character I believe.

I recollect making phone calls to mlm home based business leads and getting folks on the telephone with me that quite literally took over the marketing conversation. It was like a seasoned racquetball player banging the ball from 1 side of the court to the other and me breaking into a sweat running from side to side. At times it felt like my mother or father requiring to know where I had been in the past six hours and wanting a play-by-play explanation. Just as you would begin to speak they'd cut you off and ask you one more question.

For some weird reason initially when i first started making calls this kind of thing occurred very frequently but right now seldom if ever will it happen. I'm very certain that the prospects that I call have not changed very much. I believe the big difference is that when I am on the phone speaking with a prospect they can feel that I'm within my comfort zone. That comfort zone is the result of countless hours of having bad phone calls and hating it.

The closest thing that i had to an MLM success strategy had been a set of scripts that i would keep to my face and read from while holding the telephone in my other hand. Let me tell you that attempting to turn pages, hold the phone, and try to read line by line without appearing like a robot was a little harder than chewing gum and walking which I had not quite perfected.

I am planning to give you three questions you can actually ask a prospective client that will help you to maintain control over the conversation you're having with them and at the same time have more meaningful communication. I'm in addition going to give you a closing question which could well be the only one you'll ever need. First I want to just point out one simple thing should you do most of the talking with your prospective clients they will not have anything to do with your business. The more often you speak the more often they will tune you out. Your prospecting call needs to be about him or her not you.
