Missoula - A Lifestyle You Can Live With

By:

I met up with some of my friends from Japan one day, and in the course of our conversation, we recalled the antics of another friend that we used to spend a lot of time with. I hadn't seen him in years, and so I tried to call him at his last known number, which was in Arizona. That was disconnected, but I remembered that his wife had family from Manti, Utah, and remembering her surname, I looked online for any numbers there that would match.

As fate would have it, I went to college in Hawaii with two of her sisters, who were twins, so I knew the family in a strange, roundabout way. The number I found was for her grandmother, and when I explained the story, she readily gave me the new contact information for my friend, now residing in Montana.

I called him to let him know that our Japanese friends were going to be in the United States for a couple of years and that they wanted to track him down to visit him. He was ecstatic, and as we caught up, I asked him why he moved from Phoenix to Montana. He told me that he was burned out on the big city lifestyle and wanted someplace rural. He checked out Manti and decided that it wasn't for him, and at the invitation of a friend decided to give Montana a look.

It was exactly what he wanted, and ended up moving to Hamilton, just south of Missoula. He was working in a garage there, hoping for an eventual opportunity to work in local law enforcement, having graduated from the police academy while living in Arizona.

I found that intriguing and decided to look into Missoula myself. I really don't like living in the countryside, and so while I can appreciate it, I would much rather find homes to rent in Missoula, or even homes to buy in Missoula, because the city is large enough to support my tastes while still providing excellent opportunities to visit the great outdoors.

There are some fantastic homes to rent in Missoula, and I could seriously see recommending the place to my friends who, like myself, would rather have a perfect admixture of city and rural life. I also wouldn't mind visiting my friend up there someday, and maybe taking a short term rental contract out on a home rental in Missoula. It would be far better than a hotel, and much less expensive.
