Mississippi Is A Real Adventure Holiday

There are many places to visit in Mississippi and shown below are a few of the wonderful holiday spots that you'll find are well worth a look. For example Jackson Zoological Park tells us how to behave with wild animals of different kinds. Mississippi Petrified Forest was there since 1800s, but was established properly in 1966 and made a Registered National Natural Landmark. Most of the facts about local wildlife are told here while you come and do some walking on its spectacular trails.

Brices Cross Road National Battlefield Site exhibits a place where a battle started by Union forces to prevent Confederate forces in disturbing their supply lines. Beauvoir is the home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis who built it in 1851. The outer house, natural trails and cemetery are preserved on these 52 acres of sea side enclave.

Located on Sardis Lower Lake, John W. Kyle State Park offers all sea and forest related facilities. George P. Cossar State Park is situated on a piece of land jutting in to Enid Reservoir. It has all amenities including a Golf Course and is open the year round. Winterville Mounds State Park is believed to be the site of ancestors of Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes of American-Indians.

At Buccaneer State Park you get all the land and sea activities with an overflow accommodation too. Every thing exciting under the sea is depicted at Marine Life Oceanarium. Take a 15 min. tour on a harbor train and get yourself clicked kissing a sea lion.

Lefleurs Bluff State Park also provides all the picnic activities for the whole family. Tombigbee State Park offers two different kinds of opportunities, catering the game room and fast food services with all other facilities. Wall Doxey State Park is situated on a spring lake, offering excellent fishing opportunities. Catering at the visitor center is also available.

Situated on the Mississippi River, Great River Road State Park has a 4-level tower for observing the magnificent view of Father of Waters. Leroy Percy State Park is a wildlife hunting area with all facilities, specially a yummy- yummy buffet lunch every Sunday. You also get a wildlife interpreter here while walking the forest area.

Lake Lincoln State Park has 550 acres of lake with 1.5 acres of sand beach. It has all the water sports and excellent fishing area. There are many primitive and modern campsites available here. There are plenty of outdoor activities that you can indulge in while on a visit to Mississippi like rafting, swimming, floating, riding, golf, tennis and picnicking.
