Selecting a cut is up to you, but it's important to remember that the pinstripes, odd colors and flashy vests appropriate in social settings are no-no's in the office, where more muted tones are preferable. Also make sure the shirt and ties you choose aren't flashier than the jacket and pants. In essence, you don't want your suited look to clash with your surroundings, and you also want to make sure that the different parts of your look don't clash with each other.
