Mazda Used Cars- The 3 Model

Mazda Used Cars- The 3 Model

By:

Mazda used cars like there 3 model was born in 2004 and was the automakers new vehicle that helped people who wanted to own a Mazda, get into a ground level vehicle. The Mazda 3 took the place of the Protg which stopped production in 2003 and so replaced it as there cheapest car to buy new. This is a small sedan that has been very popular in Canada for a long time, so I wanted to research it and look at all the different Mazda 3 models as a used car to buy.

Mazda 3 used cars are a sporty little car to look at, it comes in 3 different models in which all the interiors basically look the same. Actually when you sit in this vehicle, it reminds you almost like your driving a rally car. Its interior is very basic, but has that rally car look to it as I mentioned before. The engine controls and speedometer really prove my point when you sit into this vehicle and the center console is very easy to use. This car when lit up at night looks great and all the control modules are easy to read.

I have a couple of fuel statistics from different years. When the Mazda launched the 3 model in 2004, its base engine had a fuel rating of 8.7-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 6.5-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The next model up had a fuel rating of 9.8-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 7.5-litre, per 100km for highway driving. Then in 2006 there were changes made to both the 2.0-litre and 2.3-litre engines. The 2.0-litre had a fuel rating of 8.4-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 6.1-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The next model up, the 2.3-litre had a fuel rating of 9.5-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 6.9-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. As you can see their great on gas and its no wonder why there so popular.

There are 2 engines for the 3 different models. Mazda used cars like the GX and the GS have a four cylinder, 2.0-litre engine, which has a 148 horsepower under the hood. The GT has a 2.3-litre engine, which produces 160 horsepower. It originally came in a five speed manual transmission but later models had the option to order a four speed automatic transmission.

Lets look at some of the pros and cons of the Mazda 3 as a used vehicle to buy.

1-There are rust problems in the paint.
2-There is a problem with the fuel module.
3-It was giving an above average rating from a leading online consumer watch dog as used vehicle to buy.
4-It was given a four star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a frontal crash test done to it.

Over all I recommend this car to buy, its reliable and cheap at the pumps.
