Marriage And The True Love In It

By:

Many people think you fall in love and get married and that is that. No worries after all, you love each other so nothing else matters..right? Guess again. Marriage is a constant working relationship that can get difficult and demanding as roles change and you must change to suit the overall needs of the marriage.

Some people call these things "deal breakers" however it is truly best to think of this as the ways that life shapes and shifts and not to hold stead fast to any one idea, as things are dynamic and constantly changing. Here is an example how life can throw you a curve ball when you least expect it.

A stable, successful couple married 10 years with two children, Mary and Jim have a wonderful life together. When they were married, it was agreed for Mary to stay home and take care of things and Jim would work. He was very successful, making partner in his law firm, so they were very financially and socially gifted. Jim went to his doctor for a regular checkup and a mass was found in his right lung. He couldn't work any longer due to medical treatments so Mary had to go out there, for the first time in her life, and find a job.

Marriage is a partnership, a dance if you will; in which both partners need to work in a cooperative effort towards the same goals, adapting and changing as circumstances require it. That is why it is so important to not only choose a spouse that you love and are sexually compatible with, but one who is a friend someone who you care about and have bonded with on many levels.

There is no way your marriage will escape the changes and challenges present in everyday life. Some will use that as an excuse to leave the relationship, some will realize it for what it is, an opportunity to grow. Having marriage problems doesn't mean there's a problem with the marriage, it's just the way life is, true love is finding a way to get through it and stay committed.
