How to make money on auction sites? I think a lot of people have asked themselves that question at some point. But I also think that the majority of those people havent done anything about it. Ebay still has a heap load of opportunity for the budding entrepreneur, its just that the majority of people either think that the hype is over or they just havent been bothered to look into it.

I hope that if your reading this, thats not you! You want to know how to make money on Ebay, right? Brilliant, but for the majority of people out there the biggest part is knowing how to start. Theres so many guides on the Internet and its very common to get lost and confused. So where should you start if your looking to make some cash on with online auctions sites?

First of all, you need to research. The beginning part of any business, online or not is research, research, research. You need to find a niche, an area of interest or somewhere that you know you can profit. In my opinion the best way to do this is to start with the things that interest you - like your hobbies or expertise. If youre doing something that you enjoy, your more likely to be successful, right?

I would definitely spend time looking through the internet, especially ebay and the other auction sites and get yourself familiar with the products and prices of a certain niche.

Once youve found that area, you need to find a product source. The best place, I think for beginners to start is with drop shipping. With drop shipping theres no stock to be kept on your behalf and so you dont have the hassle of postage or returns. Drop shipping companies keep the stock for you (which you list on auction sites for a little bit more than your paying for them) and then when you sell something, they send the product to the customer for you.
