There are the passionate candles, that seem to bring up a sense of romance and then you get those candles that we often light up to set off the extraordinary smell of aroma. Candles can obtain many various uses, maybe you would want to send someone a present or why not start up a candle business and make some cash out of it. Making your own candles is much more fun than just going in to a store and purchasing one this is why in this article, I will be telling you just one of the simple ways that you can use to make your own candles.
To Make Your Own Candles You Are Going To Need
You are going to need to get your self a large pot and a medium pot, and then you are going to need a cookie cuter, one block of wax, a candle wick and a wooden spoon.
The Recipe
This Type of candle is so simple to make and still the shape of the candle is extraordinary once finished. So what you are going to need to do first is fill the balloon with fresh water, not to much as we dont want the balloon to pop. Once the balloon is filled up you are going to tie the nozzle of the balloon closed. Now you will get your 2 pots and in the bigger pot place the cookie cuter, and then fill the large pot with about 2 inches of fresh water. Now place the large pot onto the stove and set the stove to a medium to high temperature. After a few minuets the pot should be boiling, so you are then going to place the medium pot inside the big pot on onto the cookie cuter. You will now need to throw in your block of wax into the smaller pot and let it melt. When you see that the wax is starting to melt, set the stoves temperature down to medium to low, and stir the wax with the wooden spoon. As the large pot begins to lose water, due to the vaporizing insert more water to keep the level of the water the same all the time. Once the wax is well melted you are going to switch off the stove and take away the pots. Let the wax cool down until it is almost about to start setting. Take the balloon with fresh water and dip it into the pot of wax, and remove it quickly so that the balloon doesnt pop. You are now going to let the wax around the balloon to harden and then repeat. You are going to do this till the shell of wax surrounding the balloon is about one cm thick. Once you are happy with the shell you are going to burst the balloon and remove it from the shell. Now you should have an empty shell of wax, you are going to need to fill it up with more wax to form the candle. You are going to pour in a small amount of wax inside the shell and role the shell around so that the wax can set evenly on the inside of the shell. Now you are going to place the wick in the center of the shell and do your last pouring, this will be the biggest pouring you are going to need to allow the wax to set around the wick to hold it in place. Make sure that the wick stays in the middle when you are pouring the wax into the shell.
