Make Your New Year Choices Wisely

By:

It is just about time to renew your health insurance policy and this means that you will need to make decisions about your health care choices in the coming year. This is not a year to just let your health plan roll over; you really need to take a closer look at your policy choices because there are many changes that could not on affect your choices but also the amount that you are paying out of pocket for your policy.

Most, if not all the planned changes that are coming to the health care arena, on the government timetable is directly associated and is the result of government regulations that will affect your health insurance plan. Make no mistake there will be good benefits for kids up to age 26 with any existing health issues as well as insurance policies containing no reference to lifetime maximum legal language. If you are already up on these points, you know this is the good news.

As a result of these changes many health insurance companies are raising their premiums and this is putting a financial strain on those whose policies are changing for the better. The rising cost will find deductibles and co-payments on the rise along with insurance premiums as most employers don't want to absorb this increase in cost for their employees and in order to keep costs down to a minimal increase, employers are choosing to raise deductibles to help maintain a lower premium price for their employees.

Theories work fantastic on paper, but seldom live up to expectations in a working model with multiple variables and this will eventually show itself when the increases cause decreases in areas that most likely will shoot the cost to the sky for more people as time goes by. This can only be interpreted as bad results for planned chaos.

Currently and overall, individuals and families face high health insurance expenses if they want have adequate health insurance coverage and the majority of these planned changes show little regards for Americans that are expected to absorb the increases while dealing with the current economic conditions. Without taking into account the associated costs, these changes appear to be good, but just the cost factor could easily push wide open the uninsured status and premium increase gates over the long term of more Americans as this road begins to be paved. This might well go down in history as a costly road that lead nowhere except bankruptcy for the American public.
