Make Your Makeup Last Longer With These Quick Tips

A nude face looks boring at times. Every girl loves to highlight her best features using the power of a makeup brush. The trick is, when you have it, you must flaunt it. The power of makeup can make even a dull and tired looking face, appear attractive. But what happens when the makeup you apply smears or fades away faster than the clock ticks? How do you appear beautiful throughout the day when you don't have a chance to reapply your makeup? Here are quick tips to make your makeup last longer.

Our face produces some amount of oil that causes makeup to fade off when applied over it. Hence make sure that you wash your face thoroughly before applying makeup, so that you drive away the existing oil and let your makeup be applied on a clean and oil-free base. Once you have washed your face well and patted it dry using a soft towel, it is time to moisturize. Use a good moisturizer as it will protect your skin from the harmful side-effects of cosmetics. Next apply foundation on your skin. Apply this foundation at least five or ten minutes after you moisturize your skin. Let the moisturizer settle and dry up on your skin, or else it will cause your foundation to blend with the moisturizer. If you have extremely oily skin, power-based foundation will work for you. But if your skin is dry, stick to liquid or cream based foundation. A foundation will provide a matte finish to your skin. Once you are done with applying foundation, use a makeup primmer on your skin. A makeup primmer is a gel based lotion. When applied on your skin, it helps to make your makeup last longer. You can also go for eye primmer to help your eye makeup stay for hours. Apply foundation on your lips as well before you apply lipstick to make it stay longer. A good lip liner will give shape to your lips and keep your lipstick in place. It will avoid it from getting smudged. Once you have provided a good base, the life-span of the makeup you apply will automatically go up by a couple of hours. As for your eyes are concerned, use waterproof eye liners and mascaras to prevent them from getting smudged.

These are quick ways you can make your makeup last longer. Make sure than you come back home looking just as beautiful as the way you did when you left.
