Lose Love Handles Diet Eating Tips For Those Love Handles

Love handles are probably one of the peskiest things to rid of when someone is dieting. They are usually the last thing to go, especially in men. Everyone hates them and many people are very embarrassed by their love handles. I dont blame them because I felt that very shame not too long ago, until I finally got rid of them forever.

I did so without any fancy gimmicks, fad diets, or funny infomercial gadgets. I did it with hard work and a tough mindset, but I also had a great plan in place that I followed perfectly. I am going to give you this same game plan here. Just follow it to a T and you can possibly have the same results.

What I first realized was I was eating too many carbohydrates. A lot more than my body needed. Since I work a lot of the day, I wasnt very active. I was only active when I went to the gym. Carbs release insulin which in turn is basically a shuttle hormone for the macronutrients in the body. When you eat a lot of carbs, many of which you dont need, they are going to be broken down and shuttled to your love handles. We dont want that at all. So just dont eat excess carbs. Thats what I did. I cut out all white and processed stuff. Anything made with flour including wheat bread, oatmeal, sugar, candy, chips, pretzels, crackers, cookies, and cakes. The only carbs I ate were oatmeal and fruit in the morning.

The next thing I did was fill up on veggies throughout the day. I ate a lot of cucumbers, celery, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. These are all high in fiber and barely have any carbs. They kept me full and satiated, thus curbing my cravings later on in the day.

I also increased my protein intake. I was doing a lot of exercising so I needed the extra protein to help rebuild the tissue that I was breaking down. Protein also is very thermogenic. It is much harder for your body to break down protein as compared to fats or carbs so it has to burn more calories to do so.

Also, every third to fourth week while dieting, I ate a very large cheat meal. Whatever I wanted, Chinese food, pizza, ice cream or cake. I ate till I was stuffed. By doing this, it tricked my body into thinking that the famine of dieting was over so it could increase its metabolism again. Often after this I weighed about 2 pounds more the next day, but lost that and more the following week.
