Looking For Some Laughter? Then Check Out These 3 Funny Fitness Films

By:

Some of the best films ever made are based around the theme of fitness. For example, Rocky is 1 of the most popular and iconic fitness films ever created. There are also some very funny fitness films out there. In this article I will be sharing with you 3 of my favourite funny fitness films.

1) HAPPY GILMORE:

When it comes to Adam Sandler movies you generally know what you are going to get. In this 1 Sandler plays Happy Gilmore, a highly aggressive hockey player who has a good slapshot and not much else. After getting kicked off every hockey team he tries out for and a chance meeting with the golf trainer Chubbs Peterson, Happy Gilmore enters the world of professional golf and his aggressive behaviour ensures that it is a funny ride.

We get to see Gilmore wrestling an alligator, smashing up a mini golf course, fighting with Bob Barker and more as he blunders his way through the golf tour. If you are looking for a funny fitness film with lots of slapstick and laugh out loud moments then you will not be disappointed with Happy Gilmore.

2) THE WATERBOY:

This is another Adam Sandler film but this time instead of being super aggressive he is super stupid. Sandler plays 31 year old, borderline retarded water boy Bobby Boucher. After a confrontation with 1 of the football players, Bobby's coach learns that he may be dumb but he sure can tackle. As a result he gets a place on the football team but his dim-wittedness ensures that there are plenty of laughs along the way.

Some of the best bits include Bobby arguing and subsequently tackling his lecturer Colonel Sanders, Bobby phoning his idol - the wrestler Captain Insano only to get laughed off the phone and Bobby being used as an example of why you should not smoke crack. The Waterboy is another extremely funny fitness film that will have you in stitches so if you need a good chuckle go check it out.

3) TIN CUP:

Tin Cup is not a slapstick comedy like the Adam Sandler movies listed above but it is still a pretty funny film. Kevin Costner plays Roy 'Tin Cup' McAvoy - a failed golfer who spends most of his time drinking at the driving range that he owns and manages. After bumping into an old college rival who is now a professional golfer, Tin Cup takes a shine to his girlfriend and tries to win her heart by entering the US Open.

It has lots of great scenes which include Tin Cup getting fired as a caddie and then trying to steal the golf clubs and Tin Cup making a bet with his rival which then does not go to plan. If you are looking for an entertaining fitness film with a good cast that is funny but not full on slapstick, Tin Cup is 1 of the best choices.
