To a large degree our success will be determined by the coaching that you get from your sponsor, particularly if you are new to the business. I expect you, like me, have heard of folks that are recruited into the business by a so called guru that does not then deliver on their promises. Many times I hear of sponsors 'disappearing' after folks have signed up and never being heard of again. There is still to this day some bad feelings that occur when MLM is mentioned and acts like this from unscrupulous sponsors certainly don't help matters.
MLM mentorPerhaps this has happened to you before? I can understand what its like. In my very first MLM company I experienced that same thing. Unfortunately for me my payments went through my upline as I hadn't progressed enough to become directly qualified. So actually getting my money was actually quite a task! After making several phone calls chasing my payments I eventually had to pay them a visit in order to get paid! They did pay up there and then ;)
What qualities should you look for when choosing an MLM coach?
Look for a sponsor that knows what they are doing and already has a profitable business otherwise they won't be able to teach you how to be profitable, you want someone who holds high personal values and is determined (this will be evident in how they present themselves on the telephone, in person and on company presentations). Find someone who thinks big and has a vision bigger than yours is right now, by spending time observing them you too can increase your vision for your future to greater heights than you could possibly imagine before. Its also important that you partner with someone that has an effective recruitment system in place that you can duplicate, especially if you are marketing online.
Naturally you are going to need an mlm coach that will actually be easy to get hold of, you don't want to get involved with someone that is going to hibernate behind their computer screen. Regardless of what anyone says Network Marketing is all about connecting with other people and even if you are operating mostly online you still need to be willing to make phone calls! Test out your proposed sponsor before signing up, get them on the phone, see how helpful they are, but don't waste their time with silly questions, they should be too busy for that. I always like to get the details of precisely what training I will be given so that I know what to expect.
The coaches that give the highest amount of front end value are always the best uplines. They provide so much great upfront training and coaching that you are already pretty clued up in the marketing game before you sign on the dotted line. These are the sponsors that actually care about your individual success over and above the money you put in their pocket. There are some people in this world who just love to help others and see the fruits of their teaching.
There are certainly some unscrupulous people out there and many scammers so you need to be on your guard when seeking an MLM coach, but there are plenty of good folks around.
