Lincoln Used Cars- Has One Of The Best Suvs Out There

By:

Lincoln used cars like the Navigator is said to be one of the best SUVs in an ever growing competitive market place. Even with soaring gas prices, if youre Canadian and looking to get a big a SUV, then looking to the States is probably your best bet. With the Canadian dollar being over parity, you could save thousands of dollars on a one to two year old Lincoln Navigator with low mileage. It looks like our Canadian dollar will remain or stay near parity for a long time. So with the dollar being so high, this has caught my attention on luxury vehicles that now seem to be in a price range that a lot of Canadians can buy in America. My research will be on the Lincoln Navigator as a used vehicle.

Lincoln Navigator used cars:

The Navigator was the first full size SUV that was produced and sold in North America. I looked at models from the mid- 2000's and there really isn't any exterior design changes to those vehicles. Same goes for the interior except for a change in the speedometer and engine gauge design for the 2007 models. The interior design is beautiful; the leather seats are very comfortable and the two front seats are very spacious. The speedometer and engine gauges are easy to read and the center console is easy use. This vehicle is loaded with all the whistle and bells and it gives you lots of room to move around in.

I could only find one fuel statistic for the Lincoln Navigator. The fuel rating was 19.6-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 14.7-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. This is one of the draw backs especially if fuel prices keep rising.

The Lincoln Navigator's engine sizes vary from the different models and years. Models from 2003 to 2004 had a V8, 5.4-litre engine and this produced 300 horsepower. Both these models came only in an automatic transmission. The 2005 model kept the same engine but added 15 pounds of torque and this gave it a total of 365 pounds, per feet. This model as well only comes in an automatic transmission.

Lets look at the pros and cons of the Lincoln Navigator as a used vehicle:
1-There are problem with the spark plugs breaking off from the cylinder head in early models.
2-There are various problems with the suspension system that can range from small to big issues.
3-The Navigator got a five star rating from the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration for a driver and passenger crash test done to it.

I hope this helps if youre thinking of buying a used Lincoln Navigator.
