Life Coach - The Difference You Want To Make

By:

Many people would like to make a difference in this world before they die. But most never get around to it. They will some day when they have something or when they’ve made their life better. But it never happens. As a life coach, this is especially true because in life coaching many coaches want to make a difference for people. That’s what the business is directly about. It’s not just about making money and learning how to attract clients. But that’s what coaches get focused on because of subtle fear or missing the mark.

The ultimate fulfillment in life is making a contribution, serving humanity and making a difference in the world before you die. On their death beds, the biggest regret that people have isn’t that they didn’t make enough money or become famous. The biggest regret is that they didn’t love their kids enough, they didn’t give their gifts, they didn’t risk more. What they were meant to give to the world, they never gave. They were too afraid.

As a life coach, you probably know what I’m talking about. You probably had or have altruistic motives in becoming a life coach. But when it gets down to making things happen, often times you revert back into fear or other ulterior motives, like wanting to be successful or wanting to pay the bills. The desire to contribute seems to come after your fear, after your desire to be successful or to earn more money and attract more clients.

If you would like to have contribution as your reason for living and doing everything you do, if you would like to stop having fear as your motivator, if you would like to stop chasing success so you could contribute and make a bigger difference, if you want to have a more fulfilling life, then what are you waiting for?

If you are serious about being a contribution monster, then here’s what you need to do. First, pay attention to what drives you moment to moment. What emotional states are you in? You make all your decisions from your emotions. Your constant behavior and actions you take come from your emotions. What is the source of your decisions and the actions you take?

Are you willing to weed out the emotions and the sources that don’t serve you? Are you willing to weed out the fear, the desire for success, the indifference and anything else that is currently impeding you from the desire to contribute? What would you need to face in reality to make that happen? What challenges would you need to overcome? What thoughts and feelings would you need to transform?

Who would you need to be? What type of commitment would you need to make? Be honest with yourself. Is that something that you’re willing to do? For what reasons would you be willing to make your life about contribution and serving humanity? What would it take for you to become that person, without all the fear or other ulterior motives governing your life? What would it take for you to have that heart to heart with yourself?

We both know you would prefer to ultimately have a fulfilling life of contribution. The question you want to sit with and want to come to terms with is are you willing to do or face whatever you need to in your current reality to become an agent of change, a force of contribution in this world?
