Lexus Ct200h - Specifications

The new Lexus CT 200h is the first full hybrid vehicle to be launched in the premium compact segment. The CT 200 h shall go into production in late 2010. The CT200h is anticipated to attract new and younger customers to the brand.

The LF-CH concept used in the CT200h was shown at Frankfurt motor show last fall. The CT200h is the practical version of that concept. The youthful and hip Lexus CT 200h has been exhibited in Europe at the Geneva Motor Show 2010. It was one of the most awaited cars at the show. However, that was just a sneak peak; this car will be officially launched and marketed in Japan in early 2011.

This model of Lexus has been claimed to be designed and developed by keeping the European market in mind. This claim is proved by the five door compact car design, its size and low emissions and fully hybrid technology. The hallmark of Lexus in quality, refinement and driving pleasure has not been in any way compromised in this model of Lexus.

This model of lexus is equipped with ECVT intelligent electronic continuously variable transmission. This car has been designed and is expected to class-lead CO2 emissions with lower NOx emissions, without any particulates.

This model of Lexus is capable of running on electric motor alone which basically results in zero fuel consumption and hardly any emissions of carbon dioxide and other hazardous emissions. The car can run on the EV mode for up to 1.2 miles at 28 mph. The efficiency of aerodynamics is retained through the strategically designed and styled exterior. The improvement of airflow down the side of the vehicle has been made possible with the help of tightening of rear and front corners.

The CT200h will be Lexus cars first venture into the family car hatchback segment. The hybrid will definitely raise the interest of potential customers and so will the reputable quality and build standards of Lexus. Another advantage will be the excellent customer care services that Lexus offers.

The compact and efficient design of CT 200h does not stop it from having a roomy and spacious interior. The 2,600 mm wheelbase allows for a spacious front and rear passenger accommodation.

One distinctive specification of Lexus CT200h is that this Japanese model will only be available in the hybrid version, thus trying to take full benefit of the Toyota Group has in this segment. In the future there is a possibility of seeing a coupe version of the current CT200h, and even a mini SUV.
