Learning Copywriting - Be A Follower To Become A Leader

Are you starting to become a copywriter? Best of luck, first of all!
But wait! What's your plan? I mean, how are you going to be one? You sure have thought about that, right? Learning copywriting is never easy!
If you have lots of cash to spend, you would probably join some copywriting course online or in your local area. Mostly, that's your plan.
But let me (an ex-student of AWAI) tell you something. Some of them are really good, such as AWAI. But some of them out there are total crap! Most of the eBooks that you find out there do not amount to anything. And most programs have teachers who have been writing copies only for a few months themselves. What a mess!
And before everything, copywriting is NOT a skill. It is an art! And you cannot attend a $1000 workshop and wish to become a master copywriter overnight. Listen to me, I know about it!
In fact, the best way to learn copywriting is NOT to attend any workshop or program at all. They are all a waste of time. And except from enhancing your networks in the field, you actually don't gain anything, other than the basics of copywriting. You can know them even by surfing online for free. Just Google 'How to write sales copies' or whatever you want to know, and you will find a wealth of information out there.
But sadly, by reading a well-researched article on a website or by attending a boring copywriting workshop, you do not become a copywriter.
To learn copywriting, you have to practice, practice and practice. Phew! And, follow the works of other 'hall-of-fame' copywriters. Study the works of Gary Halbert, John Carlton or Clayton Makepeace. Try to understand what the secret behind their writings is. Figure out what makes their writings magical. What do they have in common? How are hooking their readers? What category of leads are they using? Decks, are there any? Study 'em. Do the homework.
To become a master copywriter, copy the masters!
For that, you would need a copywriting swipe file. You can either spend years of sweat to prepare a good copywriting swipe file collection. Or you can always buy one online. I found one recently. Check the link below for more.
