Learn Your Wealth Secrets From A Man With No Tv

By:

Why would you want to learn wealth secrets from a man who doesn't even own a TV? Well, for one I hate TV. I think it stands in the way of achieving my own personal wealth secrets. It stops people from getting out there and experiencing the world. It also leaves you feeling a bit helpless and hopeless. Trying to meet up with these societal expectations is how so many of us got lost in the first place.

If you watch TV, your definition of wealth may be a bit skewed. TV wants us to believe that you have to buy a certain car, use a certain type of overpriced hygiene product, and have a body that looks a certain way to be happy and wealthy. If you watched TV, you would think that wealth secrets lie within the next hottest product such as a car or a hair re-growth product.

If you were to mimic the kind of self-centered behavior that media promotes from the so-far-from-reality, reality shows, you would never be happy or wealthy. As a matter of fact, you might even find yourself living on the streets or isolated from society in a cave or a prison cell.

This is why I don't have a TV in my home. I don't play into that kind of social conditioning. In order to find out the wealth secrets, the first step you take will be in prioritizing your life to do only what you love. For many of us, this is much harder to do than we realize.

I find this to be true when I ask people to give me a list of the things that they love. Usually, the first thing that pops in their mind is something that we truly love doing. After that, it's all censored for the approval of our wife, friends, family, or job. The first thing you say that you love might be your dog or your kid or something spontaneous. The next thing is usually repressed by what we think we should say.

You might want to say that you really love your friend Andy, but instead you just say that you love all your friends because you don't want to leave someone out or hurt someone's feelings. The moment that you start to do this you have created a list of what your wife, your friends, and society think you should love.

However, there is a way to bypass this list of someone else's love and make your own. Once you have mastered this, you will be able to look at the things you love doing, analyze them, and see if you are doing the things most important to you on a frequent basis.

For me, my top loves are my family, my girlfriend, and my life as a teacher. Sure, I love other things, but I try to make sure that I take care of those things first. Once I have taken care of those basic loves, I begin to see where I can fit other things into my life that I truly love like a trip to Greece or a new exercise regime or just spending some time alone reading.

Once you make it a priority to do what you love, the small steps that you make towards wealth secrets won't even seem like an effort.
