Last Nights Episode Of The Office On Dish Network

It"s season seven of "The Office" on NBC and I"m glad to report that the show"s still got it.The premiere episode last week entitled "Gossip" was okay, but considering "The Office" consistently makes me laugh out loud (even when nobody is in the room with me), I was worried when the first episode of the new season didn"t have me LOLing.

I"m happy to say last night"s episode proved the show is still on the right track. This is why I love this show so much, and why it"s one of the best comedies on TV right now.Last night, in an episode entitled "The Meeting," we saw Michael going to extremes to find out what was being discussed in the private meeting between Jim and David Wallace. In typical Michael Scott fashion, where the entire world revolves around him, the office boss can"t stand to be out of the loop on anything.

So when David asked to hold a secret meeting with Jim, Michael agreed to step out, but you could just see his blood boiling as he plotted to somehow worm his way into the conference room. He unsuccessfully tried to fake a phone call as he casually entered the room ("I"m sorry, I"m just going into a meeting. Well, if he doesn"t like it, you can tell that S.O.B that he is fired. I love you too. Bye.") After that failed, he cooked up a plan with Andy to wheel him into the room while hidden under a cheese cart.

Andy and Michael put together the contents of the cart with sliced cheddar, a container of Parmesan, and a bottle of bleu cheese dressing, and then Andy proudly presented it to Jim and David. Unfortunately for Michael, the plan would have been foolproof if not for the fact that the meeting was over at that point. When Michael eventually found out that David was shopping the idea of moving Jim into Michael"s manager position and having Michael oversee the region, he sabotaged it.

He later told Jim that he did it because he didn"t want to lose Jim, or Pam, and now the baby. I love how Michael thinks Jim is his best friend and that he and Jim and Pam are this little family.Meanwhile, Pam is making her away around the office to get a head count for who"s planning on coming to her and Jim"s wedding. You see, the happy couple conveniently decided to hold the ceremony in Niagara Falls, assuming no one from the office would be able to make it. However, Kelly will come as long as Ryan does (Ryan"s coming) and Meredith also confirmed she would be coming.

When Pam suggested she send in her RSVP card so they will know what she wants to have for a meal. Meredith said she didn"t need to send it in, because she would just eat "whatever"s fanciest, unless there"s ribs." And as far as directions, Meredith said she would just text Pam the morning of her wedding. When Angela, who was sitting at the lunch table, remarked that Meredith was being completely rude, Pam moved Angela"s purse from the chair and sat down. "I know! Right?" "Pam!" Angela snapped. "My bag was there."In the end, David realized the branch would probably lose Jim if they didn"t promote him to something. So he compromised and offered Jim the position of "co-manager" with Michael.

Michael assumed he would still be manager, until David informed him that he is actually a co-manager now. Michael made the proud announcement to the office that Jim had been promoted. "Co-manager of what?" asked Stanley. "Of your butt!" replied Michael.So now Michael and Jim will be working together to manage the office. As with any show that"s been on the air for seven seasons, changes need to be made to shake things up a little and alter the dynamic. And of course Dwight is going to be upset that Jim once again upstaged him. In the end, what really makes this show work is the amazing group of supporting players they have.

Seriously, every single member of the office is hilarious in his or her own way, from the meek Phyllis all the way to the march-to-the-beat of his own drummer Creed. My favorite is customer service"s Kelly Kapoor, but as with anything, a little bit of something good goes a long way. Generally, none of the supporting characters are shoved down our throats as nauseam, and that"s a good thing. And the best part, the show makes me laugh out loud. So much so that I rewind parts on my Dish Network DVR just to hear a line again. Any show that can succeed in that on a weekly basis is a definite winner.
