Krakow Stag Party - Tips For Arranging A Action Packed Stag Weekend In Krakow

By:

Drop-dead beautiful Krakow is Prague's closest rival for great looks. It is one of the couple of European cities to have come out of World War II comparatively unscathed and its Old town, myriad stone churches and castles and medieval square have remained gloriously untouched. For more than five centuries the seat of the Polish kingdom, Krakow is Eastern Europe's bohemian capital. Just like the great old days throughout the late 19th and early 20th century, when it was the base of the Moda Polski or youthful Poland movement, which fostered a revival of literature, art and buildings.

Krakow Seat of Kings
The centerpiece of Poland's second town is Wawel Castle, the seat of Polish kings between the 11th and 17th centuries. But equally arresting is Rynek Gwny, the largest square in the country, which is fringed by medieval churches, the twin-towered St. Mary's Basilica and the grand Cloth Hall. Nearby is the 100,000 strong Jagellonian University which was opened in 1364. Yet it's in the cobbled alleys and arrow lanes of the Old town that you can find more than 300 cafes, underground clubs, chic bars and lounges as well as delicious pierogi and great Polish piwo or ale for less than a coke and water in other huge international cities.

There are more bars per square meter in the Old town than there are anywhere else in the world. For every bar there is on the street level, there is another upstairs and down in the basement. All together, making it incredibly convenient for a guided bar crawl on a Krakow stag do.

Alternative Art Scene in Krakow
Southeast of the Old town, the former Jewish district of Kazimierz is the hub of the city's alternative art and restaurant scene. Kazimierz has had its share of tragedy and loss, and it was the setting for Spielberg's movie, Schindler's List. The film renewed interest in the Jewish culture and kosher restaurants and art galleries as well as leading edge, sleek and funky bistros have opened up. Alchemia was one of the first couple of bars to open here and its atmosphere has been deliberately tweaked to give an air of bohemian decadence. Bands and live acts from all around the world are featured here and its walls are regularly decorated with the works of local artists. In the meantime, Schindler's old factory is to be turned into a museum.

Krakow Activities
For great music throughout a stag do, look no further. Krakow has a great reputation for jazz and some of the smoothest can be heard at Piec Art. Czasem Trzeba Pub is a well known student hangout and a great place to find youthful Polish women with chiseled cheekbones and impossibly long legs. Cynamon Caf is a funky lounge whereas Cien Club, in the basement of the Lubomirski Palace, is jam-packed with beautiful people.

Not simply will you have a full dance card throughout your stag do, the days can be pretty full too. We have a huge selection of challenges including sphereing, golfing, yachting down river on a wooden raft a la Huckleberry Finn, vodka tasting, go karting and various forms of artillery practice with an AK-47 or even a machine gun. Or take our trip to Auschwitz for a change of rate before hitting the stag do circuit again with our vodka tasting tour, at the end of which you will not be able to tell the difference between wheat, rye or bison grass vodka.
