The vitamin A belongs to the family of same appearing molecules like retinoids for the completing the remainders of vitamin sequence in the market. The important part of vitamin A is retinyl group which is occurs in many forms in the body. In most animal food the main constituent is vitamin A such as an ester, basically retinyl palmitate converting into alcohol in the small intestine. In some products vitamin A is also present as aldehyde. Acids such as retinoic acid consists of vitamin A in smaller amount but not showing any function in retina of the eye of the body.

The consumers of vitamin A can see that the orange pigment is present in the carrots-beta -carotene producing two combined retinyl group for growing the level of vitamin A in the body. Presently no other carotenes is containing the vitamin A activity for performing abilities in them.

Consumers can find vitamin A in many forms like retinol which is found while the consumption of animal food sources such as yellow, fat-soluble; vitamin plays essential role in vision and bone growth of the body. Other forms are retinoids which is a chemical compound representing vitamin A in the body. Consumers should know that vitamin A is present in the liver of beef, chicken, turkey,fish, pork; sweet potato, carrot, broccoli leaf, kale, butter , spinach, leafy vegetables, pumpkin and other things. Consumers should know that the role of consumption of vitamin A becomes essential as it plays an important role in vision,gene transcription, immune function, embryonic development and reproduction, bone metabolism, haematopoiesis, skin health, and antioxidant activities in the body .
