Kick The Habit Thinking About The Deadly Effects?

Kick The Habit Thinking About The Deadly Effects?

By:

It's more or less certain that the primary reason for any smoker to be contemplating quitting is the knowledge of all the terrifying horrible effects that smoking has on their health - and their lives. For those of the right kind of mind-set, it can be a very positive part of helping them effectively kick the habit for good.

Learning about and understanding all the awful health-killing self-destructive effects of breathing in tobacco smoke and puffing it back out so that everybody else around you inhales your second-hand smoke would at least, at the get-go, often be the opening push toward that first step of quitting.

For many years now, the very best [and certainly the most common] method of banging home all the anti-smoking campaigns is in fact by the regular quoting or viewing of all the various destructive aspects of smoking - from anti-social aspects like your breath honking like an "old ashtray" through to the deadly miserable slow deaths caused by cancers and lung diseases (emphysema etc).

So surely having witnessed and/or learned all about this, you wouldn't be able to help being totally disgusted by the frightening things that you're doing to yourself and the frightening health risks you're most certainly putting your own and other peoples' bodies through, which in turn is alleged to help you quit forever.

Sadly, this is very rarely the actual case - it just doesn't work for a lot of people for the reason that they're more (unjustifiably) fearful of what would happen to them if they can't get their regular fix!

To add to this, all habitual heavy smokers are without doubt completely disgusted by the images and information that he or she has been taught, because of irrational fear, they just end up building a powerful resistance to this method for quitting and simply grow to be immune to the fear of the destructive effects of smoking

Right about now is when our truly human habit of devising all the excuses for NOT doing something then kicks in - I can't tell you how many times I've heard things like "we all have to die of something" or "there's no point being healthy when I die". How sad and absurd is that?

It defies logic, but it simply doesn't matter a damn what they know or what they experience via all the differing media, a smoker just stops noticing them and can then quite unbelievably just stop really believing all the evidence.

It's likely that you along with many others have tried out this method at some point and you've then largely found that the next time you tried with the same method it wasn't anywhere near as useful as that first time - it's true right?

All in all, it may well work for a number of people but it's obvious that the 'reverse negative motivation' caused by trying this method is nowhere close-to as powerful as the positive motivation and will-power that's desired for quitting smoking.

In summary; using knowledge of the ill-effects caused by smoking to quit more-often-than-not only ends with failure. There are alternative proven methods and even though you're bound to find it a little tough at first, being able to kick the habit is much easier than you think YOU ONLY HAVE TO WANT TO!

Quitting smoking naturally, speedily, and permanently isn't and has never been about overly complicated systems and/or poisonous pills and patches - it's all about simplicity, a little bit of will-power and some genuine tried and tested tobacco-quitting knowledge.
