Colours
The best choice for a flowergirl dress has to be light pastels and cream tones. They dont have to be the exact colour of the bridesmaids dresses so a subtle, yet pretty shade is perfect. A slight pattern can look nice but consider how it may look with what the rest of the bridal party is wearing.

Styles
There are so many different styles of flowergirl dresses you can buy. The two at the moment which are popular are: the ballerina style dress with flowing tuel and the baby doll style dress with ribbon detailing.

Some children can get headaches from a tight hairstyle or from heavy hair pulled into a bun or tight ponytail.

Shoes
Simple, once again is best when it comes to shoes. Ballet style flats are a great option, as they match most flowergirls outfits and theyll be comfortable all day in them. Plus, they are shoes which they can wear after the wedding too.

It is a good idea to buy their shoes a few weeks before the wedding and ask them to wear them around the house a few times before the day to avoid blisters. If you are worried this still might happen on the day, bring a pair of other shoes they can wear at the reception after the photographs of the bridal party have been taken.
