With fall right around the corner, it's time to gear up and find the newest trends of 2010. This year's fall fashion collection will consist of all sorts of gemstone jewelry, more silk scarves, classic cardigans and tuxedo jackets. Of course leggings will be a hit once again as well. Fall fashion is the best time of year as we get to dress with layers as the weather cools off.

Many women choose to shop til they drop during the change of seasons. However, I have a better approach that will work for you! Some of these popular items can be used in several different ways, so why not opt for a few statement pieces. In this guide I'll share with you how a few statement pieces can be worn.

Every brand is making silk scarves for this fall. They look great and can be used in many different ways. My favorite material for scarves is silk, but they're also made with cotton and cashmere. Cashmere will keep you the warmest.

There are many different styles to choose from; funky, fun, elegant and more. The scarf is a great accessory that can be used as part of an outfit while keeping you warm on a fall day. For an edgy or more hip look, you should wear the scarf in a loose way that hangs naturally. Always use a loop for it to sit on your neck. This look is very popular amongst celebrities.

For a cleaner and more sophisticated look, it can be worn to represent a tie. This is a great option for an event or even a business meeting.

Tuxedo jackets are another item that are a must have this fall. Women who have worn a jacket to create the "boyfriend jacket" are happy about this! This is a more tailored look that can be worn in a fun way or even a business way as well.

If you're looking to get funky and go out on the town, throw on the tuxedo jacket. If you want to look nice at work, the tuxedo jacket can also work. It all depends on what you wear the jacket with. For the funkier fun look, wear the jacket with a pair of skinny jeans and fun high heels. Under the jacket, throw on a tank top or a cool vintage t-shirt. For a professional look, slim pants will look great.
