Virupaksha Temple in Hampi: This ancient temple is a well known attraction of Karnataka which never fails to leave the visitors enchanted. High on architectural brilliance, it was built in honor of Lord Shiva in the 7th century. It is famous for the marriage festival of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati which is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the month of December every year.

Achyuta Rayas Temple: Built in 1534 AD in Vijayanagara architectural style, the temple is a well known destination of Hampi. It is dedicated to lord Shiva. Its astonishing Prakaras (the elevated enclosures) are worthy of notice. It also offers mesmerizing views of Matanga Hills.
