Jugal Hansraj is a Bollywood actor and director. He made his acting debut as a child artist in MASOOM (1983). Jugal Hansraj was born on 26th July, 1972 in Mumbai. He is currently settled in Bandra, Mumbai. Jugal Hansraj made his acting debut as a child actor in the Bollywood film MASOOM (1983).

The film was directed by Shekhar Kapoor and was based on Erich Segal book, Man, Woman and Child. Urmila Matondkar was also a child actor in this film and played Jugal step sister Pinky Malhotra. MASOOM (1983) also starred Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Tanuja, Supriya Pathak and Saeed Jaffrey.

MASOOM (1983) revolved around a 9 year old boy, Rahul Malhotra who is the son of DK Malhotra (Naseeruddin Shah). Rahul is born out of an extra marital affair between DK and a woman named Bhavana (Supriya Pathak). When Bhavana dies, DK has to take care of Rahul and takes him to his house.

DK wife Indu is ignorant of Rahul whereas his daughters start bonding with Rahul. Indu cannot stand the sight of Rahul, because it keeps reminding her of his betrayal. DK sends Rahul to a hostel, and Rahul realizes the truth that DK is his father.

Towards the end of the film Indu cannot bear the trauma that Rahul has to go through, and she accepts him as her own son. The film was successful at the Box Office. Jugal Hansraj performance in the film was appreciated. In 1997, Jugal Hansraj starred in GUDGUDEE (1997).

GUDGUDEE (1997) was directed by Basu Chatterjee. Jugal Hansraj was seen alongside Anupam Kher, Pratibha Sinha, Deb Mukherjee and Satish Kaushik. Shahrukh Khan was seen in a special appearance in the film. Jugal played a singer in the film.

The film revolved around a married man who tries to impress his neighbour who is a model. The film was a Box Office failure. In 2000, Jugal Hansraj was seen in Aditya Chopra MOHABBATEIN (2000). The film was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Raj Films.

Jugal got much recognition with this film. The film also starred Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kim Sharma, Preeti Jhangiani and Shamita Shetty. Jugal played the role of Sameer Sharma, a young shy boy who is in love with his childhood friend Sanjana (Kim Sharma).

The film did average business at the Box Office. Jugal Hansraj made a guest appearance in Karan Johar KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM (2001). He played the role of Hrithik Roshan friend in his overseas university. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.

Jugal played the role of Vishwas in HUM PYAR TUMHI SE KAR BAITHE (2002). The film also starred Tina Rana and Sachin Khedekar. Jugal also starred in SOGGADU (2005), a Telugu film where he played the role of the second lead, Chanduku, opposite Arti Agarwal.

Jugal then starred in SALAAM NAMASTE (2005), a Yash Raj Films Production, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film starred Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The film tells the story of Nick and Amber, two young Indians living together in Melbourne, Australia, and the problems they face in their live-in relationship upon discovering that Amber is pregnant.

Jugal played the role of Jignesh Pandya, who is Amber friend. The film was a Box Office success. In 2010, Jugal was seen in a small role as a showroom manager in PYAAR IMPOSSIBLE (2010). Jugal also directed this film that starred Priyanka Chopra and Uday Chopra in the lead roles. The film was a disaster at the Box Office.

Jugal Hansraj was seen in a mini TV series Karishma: A Miracle Of Destiny in 2003.The film also starred Apoorva Agnihotri, Tinnu Anand, Salil Ankola, Vikas Bhalla, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan. In 2005 Jugal Hansraj was seen in Darna Marna Hai, a TV series.

Jugal Hansraj directorial debut was ROADSIDE ROMEO (2008), an animated film. The film had voice overs by Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Javed Jaffrey.

It was produced by Yash Raj Films and co-produced by Walt Disney. It was the story of Romeo (Saif Ali Khan), a pet dog whose life changes when he is left on the streets of Mumbai.

The film did not succeed at the Box Office. Jugal Hansraj was the screenwriter of ROADSIDE ROMEO (2008). Jugal Hansraj sang a song for his film ROADSIDE ROMEO (2008).

Jugal Hansraj is the cousin of model and actor Chetan Hansraj. He has dated Kim Sharma. He was rumored to be dating an Italian girl.
