Janitorial Wholesale Cleaning Supplies: Go Green For More Profits

By:

If you are a cleaning company purchasing janitorial wholesale cleaning supplies, you may want to consider a profitable option to present your clients to switch their cleaners to Eco friendly janitorial wholesale cleaning supplies instead of the toxic versions.

Many residential cleaning companies are now offering their clients the option to go green with their cleaning supplies as an upcharge to conventional toxic cleaning products.

Parents who have asthmatic children, or children and pets that are sensitive to the smell of toxic cleaners, are happy to have an alternative and are glad to make the switch to non toxic household cleaners, when presented with the option.

Some green cleaners require more elbow grease, but as Laura Serer of Connecticut based Serer House Cleaning says, "My clients are willing to pay a little extra for labor when they know I am using green cleaners" she continued "I charge 20% more on labor, and that's the equivalent of $2.00 an hour, so my clients can easily afford to go green".

Ms. Serer also found an added income where before was an expense, she says, "I also sell them the cleaners and leave them at their home for them to use at the times we are not there, so I do not have to pay for the cleaners anymore, which adds money to our account each month as we no longer have the product expense"

Ellie Ann of Pembroke Pines Florida also presents the option for green cleaners to her clients and says "Almost 65% of our clients are now green and we are seeing returns on investment of 40%, up from 28% last year" Also, she added "My workers have reported that they used to feel nauseas, or dizzy at work when using toxic cleaners, but since we started using green cleaners, the incident reports have been eliminated almost completely"

Also, aerosol sprays produce mist particles that can contain a high amounts of organic solvents, according to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. It warns that these solvents can be inhaled into the lungs and enter the bloodstream.

According to a 1999 study published in the weekly science and technology magazine, New Scientist, in homes where aerosol sprays and air fresheners were used frequently, mothers experienced 25 percent more headaches and were 19 percent more likely to suffer from depression, and infants younger than 6 months old had 30 percent more ear infections and a 22 percent higher incidence of diarrhea.

When homeowners are presented with the facts regarding toxic household cleaners and their dirty little secret, making the switch from standard janitorial wholesale cleaning supplies to eco friendly green cleaners is not only a wise move for them, but also a profitable move for the cleaning company.
