Is Living Green The Answer For A Better Earth?

By:

Do we believe the earth is really in mortal danger? Who do we put our trust in when we are told that the very things that are essential for life are becoming spent? For the earth to survive, must we espouse an eco friendly way of life? With the lack of total wellness and the rising cost of healthcare, is it time to return to natural modes to save lives? If we wish for a better world, the education of our kids in environmental issues is essential.

Past generations grew their own food and delighted in taking care of their gardens. It is not merely playing in the garden but the cultivation of plants, vegetables and trees that we desire for our children to enjoy. How many children even realize that a green plant takes carbon dioxide out of the air and makes oxygen? Nutrition, clean air and drinking fresh water all can lead to a healthy body. If the world is to last, we may need to retturn to a greener lifestyle.

A number of the improvements in technology have made life better, but at what expense? Are our lives becoming better even if we live to an older age? There are conditions that we no longer suffer from but there are other risks to our health we need to be aware of. Living green will better the health of the environment and make life worth living. All that is needed is to prepare a generation of children to the benefits of living green.

Wind power and solar power can replace our strong dependency on coal and oil, and go a long way towards cleaning up the polluted air. We have the tendency to react to a problem after it has gotten too serious to solve. Is there a conspiracy to eradicate the planet? Why else would we sit back and watch the earth envenomed in this fashion? At what point is the air overly impure, and the water excessively polluted, and the food sources too adulterated that things cannot be reversed.

We may have to go back to a time when we are not judged by what we own and more by the type of person we are. The welfare of an individual should be paramount rather than any monetary gain through someone being ill. We can all help by discerning what the earth needs to better the lives of the world's population.

Perhaps solar power and wind power are not as gainful as petroleum, but isn't it time that making huge profits is not the deciding factor for doing something? More natural ways of living, reduced waste and living healthily, these are all things we can teach our children. This is the only earth we have, and to be responsible citizens we must leave it a better place for our kids. Developing green living habits should become a priority for every one of us.
