Is It Too Much To Invest In You?

By:

How much is too much? How much is more than you are willing to spend to take a chance on yourself in a new business? Can you really put a price on that kind of opportunity?

Let's say that there is a business opportunity that is presented to you. You really like the business and their products; you are looking for something new or something to supplement your current business. But, well, money is kind of tight and you just don't know if you should.

Let's say this opportunity takes $200 to get started. Is that a lot of money to invest in your future? What could you give up? What would you give up? Maybe you would give up that expensive latte on the way to work? If you did, you would save that $200 in two and half months ($4 per day x 20 days per month equals $80 per month).

What about eating out a lunch? If you spend $8 per day on lunch you will spend that $200 in one month and one week. Isn't your future more important than coffee and eating out? What other activities do you do every day that cost you money that you could easily give up for a short time to make this investment in yourself and possibly your financial future?

Check with the company to see how fast you can start making money. Many companies have fast start bonuses which start immediately. You could have the opportunity to make up that $200 before the credit card bill even shows up, especially if this opportunity has you excited and you can immediately think of how you are going to work the business.

Ask your upline about how quickly you can expect to make money in the business. Be sure you understand the work that will be involved to make up that initial investment and be sure that you are willing to do that work.

Investing in a business opportunity can be one of the most rewarding risks you can take. You are investing in something you can control—yourself! Look at the cost of the investment in terms of what you spend on other everyday things in your life and decide whether you are worth the risk. In most cases, you will find the answer to that question a resounding yes.

Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstance.Bruce Barton

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own.And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go. Dr. Seuss
