Is It Time For A New Friday The 13th

Slasher films are always a guilt-ridden enjoyment for lots of movie enthusiasts. Sure, they wont gather critics numbers. They wont acquire A+ ratings from the movie media. They wont even acquire C ratings from home-based online pundits. Hacker flicks will forever be scream-filled stories with meaningless plots.

But through the times, these slasher films have carved forgive the witticism a niche of their own.

A large portion of the victory of these slasher films can be credited to the Friday the 13th series and its 15 manifestations. Friday the 13th is a series of films that starred a hockey veil-wearing psycho killer named Jason Voorhees. So famous is this program that it has become a core of pop culture, being mentioned in many media channels for a nice segment of the newly concluded century.

In 2009, a rerun of the series will be unleashed for the movie going public to experience. One more time, lovers of slasher films and persons who are new to the genre will get to face the father of slasher-themed films, this time reinvented for the new generation.

Right, Jason Voorhees is going to make a return!

This time, he wont be battling another film monster icon. He wont be in outer space, liberated from years of cryogenic stupor. He wont be warding off the challenge of a woman telepath.

As a substitute, we will behold, or re-behold, the birth of a serial predator. We will learn about the story that produced a mess such as Jason Voorhees. We will witness him threaten the unfortunate tourists enjoying the warm waters of Camp Crystal Lake.

Its 2009 and its time for another Friday the 13th!

The restore is directed by Marcus Nispel, who also did the restore of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The film will present Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees, with Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti portraying the man and female mains, correspondingly.

The movie will be released on a Friday the 13th, specifically February 13, 2009.
