Is Cigarette Smoke Ruining The Paint On Your Walls

By:

Have you ever started washing your walls and found this brown sticky goo on your walls? Most of you do not even wash a wall until you decide it is time to repaint. Painting could be that you just want a different color or you are redoing the whole room and you want the color on the walls to match. If you have a smoker in the home you might have to do this often as the smoke settles on your walls robbing the color and shine. Never put new paint on these nasty looking walls because the color will not come out as you plan.

If you leave the smoke film on the walls, it will mix with your new paint and your color will not come out like it is supposed to. It will come out dingy and once it dries this smoke is there permanently. If this happens you will not only be out the money for the paint you bought, but you will have to go buy more to cover this dingy looking color. If you go to wash these walls yourself you will need a lot of soapy water and a lot of rags as this film could be very heavy. This smoke is not easy to get out of these rags so this is why you might need a lot of them. Sponges are not the best thing to use either. If you can not get this out of either of the items mentioned just throw them away and get a clean one.

You might end up having to wash these walls several times as this smoke is not that easy to remove. This nasty film will just keep showing up in the dry spots because you might just be moving it around with the rag. If you find that this is happening to you stop. Find a professional group to come in and do this job for you. Not only will they clean these walls, they can make them shine as they have the right chemicals and the right tools to do this job right. You might find out that you do not need to change the color on these walls.

If you still want to change the color, you can still repaint, but you will have a very clean wall surface to work with. If you only want them to do a couple of rooms or just even this one you will be pleased with the work they do. When the paint job is done, you should make anyone that smokes do it outside if you want this color to last without ending up just like the last color. When you allow smoking inside the home, the walls are not the only thing that can be stained by the tar residue.
