By:

The idea of frugality emerged during the recession when the citizens of America were in sheer trouble with overwhelming debts and overextended credits. The growing trends of layoffs and the unpredictable rate of unemployment have made people to go for things which they could never imagine before. Particularly for the Americans who are known for their overindulging ways of spending. A large number of people who have suffered due to huge credit card debts and opting the credit card debt management services have been forced to follow the tenets of frugality. However, the idea of frugality may have different meaning for different people. For instance some people may find more time to spend with the family by cutting the entertainment expenses. On the other hand, those people who are going through a job loss can find it as the correct opportunity to start off with their business or others may simply choose to volunteer in a social project. There are those even who will deliberately choose to live a frugal lifestyle because they are willing to avoid paying taxes to the Government by earning less than they should have been. Frugality should never be mixed with cheapness in any way. It is to be mean to apply in order to have lesser utilization of the resources. After all the way in which we will decide to live will have an effect on our children and the overall financial security. It is not only about time or money. Rather it is about bringing a change in the living and spending habits which may affect some people in one way or the other. However, in no way should one discard the values while following the ideas of frugality. Spending money is something we all just love and sometimes the idea of frugality is almost like building a wall between you and money. Being frugal will require a lot of discipline and patience from your side and following are the ways in which you could be controlled by frugality:
Following the ideas of frugality can get on to your nerves sometimes. For instance a frugal person would be able to make a purchase only after looking for several deals and prices and comparing them at the same time. Therefore, you can no longer have fun while shopping instead is more engrossed in planning and timing your purchases.
You will start to remain more engaged with things which are trivial indeed e.g. frugality can make you think twice before deciding a haircut.
Being frugal may have made you to cancel your cable and internet and you have probably decided to sign up for the free library membership in your locality. However, you may soon discover that there are no good books there and your time is simply being wasted.
You have stopped to go for vacations anymore and instead cream of places that you are willing to visit and eventually feeling irritated.
Frugality is not to be followed always and sometimes it is necessary to get the essence of a good life and that can be done without even spending a fortune.
