Well, Best Buy has got the 4G 32GB iPod touch 4g in stock so I drove an hour to fetch one. Was not disappointed. I will run through the features I have come across so far.
Body: In addition to moving the sleep button on the right and then the back of the device thinner and flatter, not much has changed. Yes, the chrome rear erg is still there! iPod touch 4g so good for the first 30 seconds.
RAM: RAMiPod touch 4g is only 256 MB, so do not think about 512 MB is simply not true.
Wireless: fully supports A / B / G / N
Vibration: There is no vibration, so do not expect that.
Multitasking real works very well and smooth transition
Display:iPod touch 4g is not IPS display like the iPhone, I do not suffer in any case. This display is so crisp and beautiful to watch. I can not even distinguish between pixels, and text on a website is like reading from a book is so refreshing. I played a digital copy of "UP" here and the colors practically jump off the screen, very nice. Apple icons are much more vivid and sharp, while the third party developer icons Have yet to upgrade to the displays just published shows that step on this new screen to offer.
Speaker: I am not sure of the quality of the speaker on the iPod touch 4g, but on my 2G iPod Touch was very metallic and I only used to the sound of the game. iPod touch 4g is here on a new spot in the lower left speaker and has increased clarity. The music is very clear and listenable, but nothing replaces a good set of headphones, but when you're in a jam, will not be gritting their teeth with this speaker.

Front camera: This is the machine that is used primarily for FaceTime. And 'the resolution is 640 x 480. The video captures quite well, though not as fine as an HD camcorder real enough for me forever capture moments of fun. Do not worry, do not wince while watching the video, is more than enough and produces vivid colors and fast frame rate. Some might complain about this, and I think those reviews will be here soon, but then again why not buy an HD camcorder that is made for HD content? Microphone: Testing Skype my friend told me he was coming in loud and clear. I also played a video I made about iPod touch 4g on my computer and the microphone captures sound top notch. Very crisp and clear, I was quite happy.
Battery: Although I have not tested on Apple claims 40 hr. music, let's be honest, that is really so? I'm sure that Apple's claims are quite credible in their battery life depending on how the device is used.
I would also make a note, my iPod Touch 2G accessories (car charger, wall charger) work with my 4G iPod touch. Apple sometimes changes things like the iPod charging pin to make a person have to buy new accessories. Does anyone remember when the iPod Video A / V cables had audio and video switched around so people could use their cables with the iPod? Well they could have only had to change audio and video cables to port around. Anyway, away from this piece of history funny marketing.
Is the new iPod worth it? For me, updating the Touch 2G, yes! The display is brilliant, amazing processor speed, video quality is great fun and the rear camera is excellent for shooting fun faster. If I had one word to describe this iPod touch 4g it would be fun! You can not manage one of these without feeling like a joyful child, (I am 22) and the commercial aspect is still there and very helpful. I recommend the iPod touch 4g as an upgrade worth every generation iPod touch 4g may have and if not one, there has never been a more perfect time to go out and get one!
