This review is specifically aimed at users of Windows XP 64-bit. Users of other operating systems should consider this comment and read others in their place.
I bought
iPod Touch 3rd Generation as a gift for someone else. When we decided to give him another thing, I decided to keep the iPod for me, rather than return. However, you connect the
iPod Touch 3rd Generation to a PC with iTunes on it to activate it. Quite annoying, but users of XP 64-bit are completely useless, because Apple chooses not to support arbitrarily on the iTunes platform.
There is no reason for Vista 64-bit software does not work, but Apple - again arbitrary - is a control of the operating system setup to prevent the installation of software on XP64. You can use the Microsoft Orca to change your setup and install the version of Vista "iTunes, but this is a long process and quite annoying, and I'm not willing to submit to only use an MP3 player.
