Invitations For Your Backyard Bbq Birthday Party

By:

Someone is about to have a birthday and you're considering a backyard BBQ themed birthday party, which is an excellent idea. One of the reasons it's such a great idea is the flexibility it gives you. You can make it a family affair, not just your family, but everyone brings their children, their parents, and even their grandparents, if you want to open it up to include all of them. Or just limit it to friends and their children only. All it takes is getting the word out with invitations according to your chosen preference.

You may choose to have it for adults only. Everyone could bring a dish of some kind that goes with BBQ, and you could just provide the BBQ. You could set up a volley ball net, a lawn croquet game, maybe basketball, and you could even hold it at a park and possibly include softball. You could also have couples teams and have some kind of tournament. Let your imagination run wild a little and you will come up with some more ideas. That's what's so great about backyard BBQ themed parties; they lend themselves to so much flexibility. There is only one potential drawback to this plan, and that is rain. You've got to have a backup plan.

Besides the aforementioned thoughts, to make it a really great party, one that will be a truly memorable occasion for everyone, you need to do two more things.

1. Invitations. Send out some really unique invitations. Go online to an Internet based company that has all the latest technology as well as a large selection of the latest and most unique card designs and you can custom make them yourself. You pick the exact card you like, including size, shape and colors. They will have some great birthday party invitation messages to choose from. Pick one and change the text to fit your specific needs. You can also upload a picture if you want, and even add some themed graphics. Have it printed in a fancy font and bright colors, and you've got some great invitations that will capture everyone's attention and set an exciting tone for your party.

2. Photo books. Take a lot of pictures (even to the point of making a list of certain shots you want to be sure to get, or the party will be over and you will have left someone out). Have everyone bring their digital cameras, and have some batteries on hand, just in case. Tell them that you are going to make a photo book for all of them, so be sure to take at least 20-30 shots each and email them to you when they get home. The same online web site that you ordered your invitations from should have a photo book setup as well. You will be amazed at what you can do.

Pick a book template that you like, including a hard linen cover like you would see on any quality hard cover book. Upload your favorite pictures into the templates (technology does all the hard part for you), add some great captions, and have them printed in a unique font, along with a great title for your book. The pictures will be printed in your book and they will look like pages in an Oprah magazine, thick hi-gloss pages. Everyone will be blown away when you give them their Backyard BBQ birthday party photo books.

This is the kind of birthday party that no one will want to miss. Just pray it doesn't rain and get personalized invitations to those invited pronto.
